Do you think I need a lift?

When discussing all the options available with my patients I present the details and allow the patient to ultimately decide. The lift involves more incisions, more time and a higher cost. many patients can achieve a great result by just adding the implant and augmenting the size

I understand your concern about a lift, but to be perfectly honest, I am not sure that you'll be happy with your results with an implant alone. I would recommend a breast lift with an implant. Best, Dr. Nazarian

It really depends on what your expectations are.    A larger implantmay give you larger hanging breasts.    I would suggest you make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon(s)  find out what your options are and what is going to give you the correction you are looking for It may be worth some extra expense if your arehappier in the long run.    Good Luck

provide fullness and a subtle lift. The size and type of implant that you
choose will depend on your desired level of fullness. You will likely need a
mastopexy in conjunction with implants. I recommend discussing these options with your board certified plastic surgeon, who can

Thank you for your question and photos.  You appear to be a borderline case for a breast lift of the left breast.  If you are willing to accept breasts that are NOT lifted but are increased in volume, then you should be able to get a breast augmentation alone.  Without lifting the left breast though you will have the same asymmetry that you currently do.All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL

It really depends on what you want your breasts to look like in the end. In general, trying to create some type of lift with a bigger implant ends in disappointment. Implants alone for you will likely result in just a heavy and still "droopy" appearance for you. But its impossible to say for sure without a better exam. You might be able to "get away" with just an implant on the right side, but the left side appears slightly more ptotic and probably will not make you happy. I would suggest leaving well enough alone or proceeding with both the lift and the implant together.

That would all depend on the type of results that you are looking for.  You could certainly get by without having a lift however, based on your photos, I think you would benefit from one to reposition your nipples and reshape your breasts, giving them a more youthful appearance.  I would recommend you set up some consultations with a few board certified plastic surgeons in your area.  During your breast augmentation
consultations, you should feel the different types of implants available, and
try on various implant sizers in front of a mirror to help you to get an idea
of how you will look following the surgery. You should also bring pictures of
the look you would like to achieve, as well as a favorite top to wear when
trying on implant sizers.

Hello and thank you for your question. Every patient's breast anatomy is different, so you would need to be evaluated in person to determine the best plan for your surgery. However, based on your photographs it appears the best result may be a lift along with implants.  You could likely have an outstanding result. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon who you are comfortable with. You have a breast asymmetry that makes the decision process more complex.  If both breasts were similar in shape to the right side, you would very likely be please with an implant only.  The left breast has more ptosis (droop) and likely will not give as good a result wit an implant only.  Seek out a plastic surgeon that has 3D imaging technology available to simulate the results for you.  This may help your decision making.

Hi. Unfortunately in order to achieve a good result you would need a lift as well as implant. This could be done through a minimal scar procedure. Cheers damien
