I had a mini TT w/ muscle repair+lipo. Minimal result. My PS wants to revise with vertical incision. Does this sound right?

Hello. Great question. Sorry for your post op difficulties. A mini tummy tuck does not address any upper portion of your abdomen. A full tummy tuck will be required.  A full tummy tuck will also address your belly button concerns. Thank you for your photo and Question. Yes are a great Candidate for tummy tuck. During a tummy tuck — also known as abdominoplasty — excess skin and fat are removed from the abdomen. Connective tissue in the abdomen (fascia) usually is tightened with sutures as well. The remaining skin is then repositioned to create a more toned look.

You might choose to have a tummy tuck if you have excess fat or skin around the area of your bellybutton or a weak lower abdominal wall. A tummy tuck can also boost your body image.

In mini abdominoplasties the rectus muscles are repair from umbilicus
to suprapubic area. The subcutaneous fat issues are treated by liposuction
and a limited resection of tissue of the lower abdomen. Therefore patients
with muscle separation, excess fat and skin above the umbilicus will
benefit more from an abdominoplasty that treats the upper abdomen as well.
Repositioning of the umbilicus is not require on mini abdominoplasties but it
is in most abdominoplasties.
Occasionally a patient that had a mini abdominoplasty and is not satisfy with 
the upper abdomen may be converted in to an abdominoplasty. A vertical 
incision may be needed if there is not enough skin available for closure of
the horizontal incision. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon for details

From the submitted photo it does not appear you were a good candidate for a mini tummy tuck. In order to improve results a standard tummy tuck with liposuction for contouring would be recommended. I've included a video on the different options for tummy tucks that I hope you find helpful.

Actually, you will do better with a full tummy tuck and can avoid the long vertical scar. Your upper abdomen was not touched with the mini tuck and you have excess lower skin that can be removed by widening your lower scar.
