Hello and thank you for your question. I’d give it a month or so and if the red area doesn’t go away then seek treatment. You could more than likely treat it with a laser. Best wishes.

Thank you for your question! Do you recall any trauma to the lip area? I would give yourself some more time to see if the spot resolves. If it doesn't resolve after a couple months, there are laser treatments that target the red pigmentation and can improve the spot. Hope this helps!

If this lesion has been there for only one week I would just wait and give it a month to see if it spontaneously resolves.  It could be nothing more than a small area of blood accumulation.  If it doesn't resolve then it could be treated with a topical laser with a very high success rate.
