How much sun exposure can I have before vascular laser treatment?

Any sun exposure can alter the safety and efficacy of a laser treatment like this. I would reschedule and up your sun protection to ensure your skin is ready for treatment when your appointment rolls around. 

Hello,Any reaction to sun exposure would be too much for the laser treatment that you have scheduled. I would reschedule the appointment for at least 3 weeks out and in that time try using an SPF of at least 45 and  reapply every 2 hours. When you have to go outside wear a hat to help shield your face from the sun. Good luck with the treatment!

the point of vascular laser treatment is to get rid of sun damage so I would suggest no sundamage before and def not TAN at least 2-3 weeks before. I would suggest cosmelan or enlighten peel before (see link to emeragecosmetics.com where we do free virtual skincare consults daily) this will reduce the sundamage so the vascular laser works better.  Best, Dr. Emer.

You should have no direct sun exposure to have the best results with a topical laser treatment and you should wait at least 3 weeks from the sun exposure for a topical laser treatment.
