I am 22, 5'4" and 115 pounds. I am very narrow up top and carry most of my weight on my thighs and buttocks. I have very thin arms and a small chest. I am a 32A/B and I am looking to be a 32D/DD. I have attached my goal size. What size implants would you recommend? I was thinking around 350cc. My doctor recommended 415cc but that sounds very large. I wanted to get some additional opinions. I sincerely appreciate your help! I will be getting them done at the end of March.
Answer: Choosing an implant size Thank you for your question. Choosing what type and size of breast implants can be difficult. A good starting point is to book an in-person consultation with a plastic surgeon who will understand your overall goals, take measurements, and assess skin tone. These factors will help to determine implant type and a size range that best suits your frame. You may have the opportunity to try on sizers that will provide you a general sense of your size after surgery. Lastly, it is difficult to predict a cup size post surgery as each bra manufacturer has differing standards for sizing. @yorkplasticsurgery

Answer: Breast Implant Choice Includes Volume and Height Selecting a breast implant to suit your goals involves multiple variables but for the cup size goals and starting points it would sound like your PS would be in the right neighborhood. A consultation including imaging could help but think of a cup size being between 150 to 200cc so a 400 cc implant could increase you over 2 cup sizes. Height of the implant will give the projection you need or don't need.

Answer: What size implants should I get if I am 5'4", 115 pounds and looking to be a D/DD cup? It’s very difficult to predict a specific cup size after breast augmentation. The answer depends partially on how large your breasts were before the operation and what size implants are being put in, but also what brand of bra. There is really no consistency anymore between what a “D” really is from one brand to another. One woman may be a double d in one brand and a c in another. The best way to judge is to try the implants at your sizing session and see if they look right for your frame and whether they look like what you picture a D cup should look like on you rather than focus on what the actual letter in the new bras you eventually buy are. Hope that helps!

Answer: What size implants should I get if I am 5'4", 115 pounds and looking to be a D/DD cup? Hello and thank you for the question. An in-person consultation is needed to give you a useful advice and I would suggest that you discuss this with your plastic surgeon. Many factors including patient's desired breast size, skin envelope (both quality and quantity) and breast width diameter among others are important in selecting the implant size. Choosing the right implant should be a shared decision between you and your plastic surgeon. In a typical consultation, you try a variety of in-bra sizers and in combination with several other measurements that your surgeon will do, the final implant volume is selected. Use of 'goal pictures' is also an effective way to communicate your goals with your plastic surgeon. Generally speaking, each 125-150 cc corresponds to one cup size. So My best advice is that you communicate your goals and aesthetic ideals with your surgeon as clearly as possible and trust your surgeon's skills and abilities to deliver what you are looking for. Best wishes and good luck, Pejman Aflaki, M.D. Johns Hopkins-trained double board-certified plastic surgeon

Answer: What'e the right size breast implant for you? Thanks for your question and photos. Generally speaking, for a bra band of 32, each cup size is about 125 cc. It's not a perfect rule for determining which implant will work for you, but it's a decent guide. So for a three cups size increase, it can mean a 375 cc implant to get you there. So 350 is close, so is 415. The Natrelle Inspira implant which has 415 is a full profile implant (translated to relatively high profile) which makes sense considering the apparent width of your breast based on photos. To make a final decision, you need a careful examination to make sure this will work in your particular situation. I am a big fan of photographic three dimensional evaluation. I use the Vectra system which allows you to see yourself in three dimensions as you are now and as you wish to be. The system allows the surgeon to pick specific implants, not just volumes. Best of luck with your surgery.
