Would my nose be considered wide? (photo)

Question

I come from a Russian family, and Russian noses in my family are usually a little on the wide side. Sometimes they tend to be bulbous at the tip. My tip isn't bulbous, however my nose looks a little wide to me. I know that occasionally these things are all in your head so I'm looking for an unbiased professional opinion. If it is wide, is there any chance of the nostrils slimming down and becoming more narrow over time? I'm still developing and I've heard tissue thins as you age.

This is a highly subjective question.Looking at your nose, it doesnt appear to be particularly wide.With age, tissues thin, but nostrils tend to get larger and droopier (60s and beyond).If you do not like the way your nose looks now, maybe a simple rhinoplasty can give you the nose you always wanted.Dr. G

Hello.  This is a subjective question.  Looking at your photo, your tip does not appear to be particularly bulbous.  If there are aspects to your nose that concern you, you may wish to at least consult with a surgeon, to determine which options exist (or do not exist).  Hope this is helpful.  Best wishes. The photograph shows a normal looking nose that is not wide. To narrow a  wide nodes requires osteotomies placed in the nasal bones, and a tip rhinoplasty to narrow and refine the nasal tip cartilages. For many examples, please see the video and the link below
