Chin implants are placed for patients who have underdevelopment  of the projection of the chin and mandible. Chin implants are manufactured in a large array of sizes, thicknesses, and shapes.  In our practice, the implants are placed through a small incision underneath the chin under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure. Liposuction of the fatty deposits in the neck can accomplish improvement of the jawline and is complementary to the chin implant itself.
