I'm looking to go 1200 cc and really want to keep the softness of my breast implants, I'm currently 800CC several surgeons recommended overfilling saline. But that isn't the feel I want. Although several of my friends went in that direction respectively. I would prefer to stay in the United States however, I am looking to travel anywhere in the world. Referrals welcomed
Answer: Breast augmentation with very large gel implants Breast augmentation with very large gel implantsIf you are happy with the feel of your implants, i would not switch to over filled saline but you will need custom implants and there are increased problems of skin stretch, drop out , back pain etc. That being said, many women have had large implants placed and are happy .

Answer: Custom sized implants You would require custom sized breast implants (not overfilling of saline implants). The soft tissue stretch on your skin would likely create complications in the future which may prevent most US surgeons from using such an oversized implant. You may need to consider international options.Best wishes,Dr.Bruno

Answer: Large implants I am not in favor of overfilling saline implants that much. If that’s done the implants will be firm and bouncy. I also think 1200 cc implants are too large but if you are happy with the type of implants you currently have why not use the same type just a larger size.

Answer: Large implants In the US, the largest silicone implant on market is 800cc. Saline implants can be overfilled for more volume however, if the volume exceeds the upper end of the manufacturer’s recommendation, the implant warranty is voided. So, you have no protection in the event of early rupture. In the past, occasionally implants were stacked on top of one another often times with bizarre looking results and hefty costs for revision surgery.Long term, there is only so much our skin can take. Heavy implants stretch our skin prematurely and often make us look wider and as if we’ve gained weight. Sometimes fat can be grafted from one area of the body to another to help boost volume in addition to an implant but this type of volume would not get you to your goal cc’s. I’d advise seeing more than one plastic surgeon who can advise you regarding implant size based on your tissue and frame. We want you to be happy but also age well with your implants. Really talk through the potential pitfalls of large implants. You may change your mind. Best of luck to you!!

Answer: Implant size Dear Ariana Veri, Breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.
