The discussion with my patients include the following; an active infection is a contradiction to surgery. All aspects of your symptoms must be completely gone, allow the plastic surgeon to know and possibly reschedule your surgery date.
You need to discuss this with your surgeon. I would not advise having a breast augmentation when you have an infection like strep throat. You may need to delay your surgery until you are completely healed. My best,Dr. Sheila Nazarian@drsheilanazarian on Instagram
I recommend discussing this with your PS. You definately should not have surgery of you have an infection particularly with implants. Ask your pcp to examine you and make sure your cleared before surgery.
Thank you for your question.I suggest calling your plastic surgeon for his/her instructions on this. You should be fine for surgery if you no longer have any infection. Best of luck.
Please see your primary care physician as you should not undergo surgery with active strep infection. Two weeks should be enough time to clear the infection with the appropriate antibiotics.
I appreciate your question. If you have an active infection, it is not recommended to move forward with surgery at this time. Best to contact your plastic surgeon and discuss. The best way to assess and givetrue advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certifiedplastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery.Best of luck!Dr. Schwartz
Hi,Thanks for posting your question. I am happy to try and help you. Sorry tolearn about your concerns. The best advice that I can give you is that you should speak to your plasticsurgeon. Online consultants are not the appropriate source of information foryou; your plastic surgeon should be your resource when it comes topostoperative concerns. This is important because every surgeon has different perspectives, the onlyone that should be important is the one that operated on you ;)Best wishes, Dr. Michael J. It's not the antibiotics that are an issue. It's the fact that you have an active infection. Make sure you report this to your surgeon. He/she may prefer to postpone you case by a few weeks to make sure the infection has cleared entirely.
Mondor's sign will go away by three months following surgery. Do not be worried as this condition is temporary and will subside.
