Concerned my symmastia repair has failed. Any suggestions? (photos)

Question

5.5 months ago I had my second breast augmentation. It was a surgery to fix my symmastia. At first it looked like it had been successful but still now at over 5 months post op I cannot wear a normal sports bra or normal bra. Both end up raising my skin on my sternum up and make me feel self conscious. Also, when I bend over at all my skin raises and my implants touch together. I'm now at a point that I don't know what to do from here. I'm only 21 and hate my body.

Good afternoon!Synmastia repair is the single most difficult condition to fix in all of breast implant surgery, so it is absolutely critical that you choose an experienced revision surgeon who can show you many examples of their own work. There are many surgeons who will finish their entire career without ever having repaired a synmastia case, so make sure you ask the right questions and make the right choice.I do lots of these, and I am happy to take care of you if you wish. No, your photograph does not demonstrate symmastia.  Your description however is consistent with some skin "tenting". This phenomenon is very commonly seen after correction of symmastia.

Generally speaking, patients undergoing correction of symmastia ( medial malposition of breast implants) should understand that despite efforts some elevation of the skin overlying the sternal area (skin tenting) will persist. Efforts to suture the skin overlying the sternum back to the sternum can be dangerous and lead to aesthetically unfavorable outcomes.

Based on your photograph, I am not sure that additional surgery, including the use of any sort of "internal bra" will be helpful. Please make sure that you do not proceed with surgery only to end up with an outcome similar or worse than what you have already achieved.
