Three-quarter and profile photos would have been additionally helpful. However, from the frontal view provided, it does appear that you might benefit significantly from the use of volumizing fillers to shape and contour your face and to achieve greater symmetry between the two sides. The photo suggests that the posterior angle of the jaw region on YOUR left side is less well defined than on the right. So, to improve and balance the overall "frame" of the face, a volumizing filler, such as Voluma XC, which I would use in my NY office (or Volyme, which I would use in my Israel satellite facility), would help to balance the asymmetry. The photo also clearly indicates that YOUR right cheek possesses less projection than your left. Here, too, I would use Voluma XC (NY) and Stylage XXL (Israel) to correct this deficit and establish better contour and proportionality between the cheeks. Finally, there is also suggestion of some chin retrusion and flattening, which also can affect the overall framing of the face. If this is indeed so, I would suggest a nonsurgical chin augmentation using Restylane Lyft (NY) and Hyabell Deep (Israel). You would be wise to seek consultation and treatment by a board certified aesthetic physician with experience and expertise in nonsurgical facial rejuvenation and augmentation and be certain to ask to see his/her before and after photos before agreeing to proceed. Best of luck.
Both implants and fillers in the cheeks can create good results for patients. Both can build up the cheeks and create symmetry. You must balance the pros and cons of each procedure and do what you feel is the best decision for you.Fillers:Pros: No downtime Reversible QuickCons: Temporary More expensive in long runImplants Pros: Permanent Great for patients with poor bone structure Less expensive overtimeNegative: Risks associated with surgery Possible infection DowntimeI hope this helps.
Symmetry and contouring of the face can be improved with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra. Fat or implants are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
In-person clinical evaluation is needed to find a cause(s) of asymmetry; possibly additional CT imaging? Mild asymmetries may be successfully treated with combination of fat grafting and/or soft tissue fillers. Large asymmetries which include bone structures may be improved with implants or osteotomies/reshaping. Good luck.
A combination of Botox® Cosmetic/Dysport®/Xeomin® and various dermal fillers such as Radiesse®/Juvederm®/Sculptra®, performed over several treatment sessions over the course of several months can correct many types of facial asymmetries. As these procedures are EXTREMELY complex, please consult an experienced board certified aesthetic dermatologist for a consultation.
The first step in planning facial asymmetry surgery is to get a 3D CT scan. From there the bony differences between the two sides can be determined and a treatment plan established.
The best method to correct a flat forehead is with.a custom made implant from the patient's 3D CT scan where the location and dimensions of the desired augmentation can be preoperatively controlled. Cheek augmentation is most commonly done with standard styles and sizes but can also be done in a...
I would suggest you get evaluated by an oral maxillofacial (OMF) surgeon. You may have a congenital or progressive TMJ problem. There are other forms of hemifacial atrophy as well and an OMF or craniofacial plastic surgeon can evaluate you for these. If this proves to be only a cosmeti...
For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest...
