I had a facelift in early January. I hate these scars so much. I’m a very athletic person and I have my hair in a ponytail for sports and I feel like everyone can see them. Is it easy to move these to the crease of my earlobes?

Thank you for your question. I understand why this bothers you, particularly if you frequently wear your hair up. One of the important goals of facelift surgery is to place incisions within natural creases and anatomical transitions around the ear so that, once mature, they are as inconspicuous as possible.
From the photographs you shared, the scars appear to sit some distance away from the natural crease around portions of the earlobe and ear. Scar revision may be able to reposition or better conceal these scars, but it is not simply a matter of cutting out the existing scar and moving it. The feasibility depends on the amount of skin laxity available, tension on the tissues, the existing scar pattern, and the underlying facelift anatomy.
You mentioned your facelift was performed in January. That means your scars are also still maturing and may continue to fade and soften in appearance over the coming months. I would recommend first discussing your concerns with your original surgeon.
If the position remains bothersome after appropriate healing and you are still interested in seeking treatment, considering a second opinion and an in-person consultation with a plastic surgeon experienced in facelift scar revision and revision facelift surgery can determine whether a limited scar revision is sufficient or whether some additional tissue mobilization or revision facelift would be necessary to place the scars more favorably within the natural ear creases.
If your goal is to improve the scars without additional surgery, treatments such as laser therapy or microneedling may help improve scar color and texture, depending on the characteristics of the scars. However, nonsurgical treatments cannot reposition a scar that is anatomically outside the desired crease.
