I went in for what was supposed to be an awake lipo and BBL earlier this week. However after thelipo the provider advised that my fat was fibrous and non transferrable. So i never got my BBL. What causes fibrous fat? Is fibrous fat really non transferrable? I would like to get my hip dips filled in and my butt lifted is there a procedure that can be done without a transfer to achieve this?
Answer: Fibrous fat and BBL Fibrous fat refers to adipose tissue that has a higher density and is more difficult to extract and transfer compared to regular fat. It can occur due to various factors, including genetics, age, and lifestyle. While fibrous fat can be more challenging to work with in procedures like fat transfer, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s entirely non-transferrable. There are also alternatives such as Renuva available. If you remain dissatisfied after discussing your concerns with your initial surgeon, it might be beneficial to seek a second opinion from another qualified and experienced plastic surgeon. They can provide an independent evaluation of your situation and offer alternative treatment options or recommendations.

Answer: Vaser Liposuction, Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), Sculptra "Fibrous fat is denser and more intertwined with connective tissues, which can make it difficult to extract and purify for a successful fat transfer. It's not common, but it does occur, and some practitioners may deem it non-transferable due to the potential for poor results. Using Vaser Liposuction, could melt the fat prior to the transfer and allow you to have a BBL with fat transfer done. For filling in hip dips and lifting the buttocks without fat transfer, you may consider non-surgical BBL using Sculptra injections, although they are temporary and not as dramatic as surgery. Consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon can offer you alternatives tailored to your specific needs and desired outcomes."

Answer: Failure to deliver agreed upon the procedure Failure of the surgeon to deliver the agreed procedure is a breach of contract for which your surgeon is liable. Your post leaves questions unanswered. Was your provider a board-certified plastic surgeon? Some patients do you have more connective tissue in their subcutaneous fat layer, and this can make liposuction slightly more tedious. This does not prevent fat transfer to be done successfully. I question if your provider has sufficient certification, skill, or experience for doing this procedure in a reputable manner on a consistent basis. There are certain instances where failure to complete a procedure is appropriate. This does not sound like one of them. For legal assistance I suggest you talk to attorneys. From a medical perspective, we need to see quality before and after pictures in order to make any type of assessment regarding the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure. There are no legitimate viable, nonsurgical options to contour somebody’s body. Cool sculpting can potentially remove undesirable fat, but the procedure has a fairly dismal track record when it comes to delivering high quality consistent outcomes I suggest giving yourself six months to get healed up and have in person consultations with reputable experienced board-certified plastic surgeons in your community. You probably have a reasonably good case for getting financial reimbursement for at least part of the surgical fee, if your surgeon failed to deliver what was agreed-upon. As mentioned earlier, contact attorneys for legal assistance. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD

Answer: Procedure without a BBL Hello,Butt implants would be my recommendation if you want to add volume. If you want to improve skin suppleness, skin retraction technology like Bodytite is the way to go.
