In general it is better to lose weight prior to Brazilian buttlift if you will still have ample fat stores. If you stay within 10 or 20 lbs of your operative weight, you are likely to maintain the results.
Hello darling,Yes. Year by year our body changes. Remember that for BBL what we put on your buttocks is fat, and the quantity can change depending on your diet, if you excercise, your lifestyle in general. Im not sure if the shape can change, it all depends on how the recovery goes and if you follow up religiously the post-op indications. Make sure you go on consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon and best of lucks!Dr. Luis Mejia.
Dear trice621,even if you didn't get any surgery, as you age your body will change. Also, any significant weight gain or loss will affect BBL results. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
It is absolutely true that over time with aging the body changes. This occurs because of loss of collagen/elastin in our skin and changes in fat distribution as she go through menopause etc. Pregnancy, weight gain, weight loss and lifestyle (sun exposure, nicotine use, drug use, eating habits) all contribute to changes to the body. These things happen even if you never get a BBL. So, yes...all of this will affect your BBL.
It is true that our bodies change with aging. Skin becomes more slack. Things drop. This process will most certainly effect BBL results long-term. This is especially true if the buttocks are overfilled with an in ordinate amount of fat. I see results that are odd in younger patients where it’s not in proportion and I’ve also seen skin and soft tissue changes and ptosis with the same patients. Best rule of thumb is to pursue results that are natural and not out of proportion. This will provide you with a better long-term result in addition to maintaining your health.
It is true that your body will change with age.A BBL permanently change is someone’s fat distribution from some thing that is slightly less than ideal to something that is more ideal.People can gain weight and have an overweight version or lose weight and have a slim version of this new transformation. With age people will have an older version. If done correctly patients should not have major issues with looking disproportionate with natural changes due to age but could potentially do so with significant weight gain like morbid obesity. These changes really shouldn’t be pertinent to making the decision of wanting to look better and willing to go through surgery to do so.Most patients who get good results from fat transfer procedures will continue looking better than they would without the procedure through the rest of their life.If the procedure isn’t done well or patients push surgeons for excessive results leading to unnatural fat distribution outcomes in patients are slightly increased risk for having disproportionate bodies with weight change.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
