Great question!  Rhinoplasty can be highly specialized and customized depending on each individual patient needs.  When seeking out a rhinoplasty surgeon, I recommending going with a surgeon who has experienced with similar noses like yours, such as similar patient ethnicity or needs.  For example, augmentation rhinoplasty in African Americans or Asians require a whole different skill set vs. reduction rhinoplasty often done for Middle Eastern patients.  Be sure to ask your surgeon if he is experienced In working with your type of nose. I have treated a large number of diverse rhinoplasty patients, including complex primary and revision rhinoplasty requiring rib cartilage.
