First session of IPL didn't produce coffee grounds/any results...

It is normal to be conservative with a new equipment while you are getting training. If you do not like the results or are concern because it is a new device in the hands of an inexperienced physician, then I would suggest that you consult with a board certified Facial Plastic Surgeon with experience on IPL treatments.Hope this helps,Dr. Gus Diaz

I like BBL (Broad Band Light) by Sciton- but there are certainly many good lasers out there- I would make certain that whomever is treating you knows their laser- these devices are only as good as the person using them.  You have to use it to learn it.I would look for someone that has Sciton BBL & experience.  BBL can also tighten pores, make your face brighter, treat reds & browns.It does take a series of treatments but if I did one now, my face would absolutely be brighter within a few minutes.  So, even if the spots don't fade with the first treatment -you get something!
