At our practice we use VBeam Perfecta laser by Syneron-Candela to treat sun damage and redness due to poikoloderma of civatte . Using the unique settings for this skin condition I recommend two to three initial treatments spaced four to six weeks apart. There is very little downtime associated with this laser treatment and the typical patient sees noticeable improvement a few weeks after the first treatment. As always, avoiding direct sunlight is recommended and accompanying sun screen with laser treatments is paramount. To help the skin heal and look it's best I recommend supplementing your laser treatments with TNS Essential Serum or TNS Recovery Complex twice daily.Hope this helps. Good luck.
This can be treated with a combination of lasers that address the blood vessels but also the wrinkling. Best, Dr. Emer.

Avoid direct sunlight.Use a high speed sunscreen and for treatment consult a dermatolgsit re use of laser to decrease redness and brown color. A safe option is the q so watched yag which has tow wavelengths to treat both red and brown color.

I generally wait two weeks for the skin to heal from the peel before having the IPL laser. I prefer the VBeam for treating redness over the IPL. I find the combination rejuvenates the skin best. Please consult an expert. Best, Dr. Green
These are scars and need to be evaluated in person to determine the safest most effective approach.
I recommend using a laser with a small spot size that can treat the non beard areas .This will be safer and there is no need to worry about damage to beard area. Options include halo,q switched yag etc
You need to gradually increase settings .Another option would be laser for both brown and red color. The q switched yag in the 1064 wavelength targets the brown color and the 532 targets the red coor.
I am aware that patients on Lyrica have had Rosacea treatments with lasers without deleterious effects. As such, it should be safe. Check with the treating physician.dr Karamanoukian#RealSelf100 Member
