I'm 30 and have had mild rosacea for as long as I can remember. I went for a laser consult in hopes of reducing the redness and was told that the vessels in my cheeks are too small for their laser to hit. I was sent home with Zo Rozatrol, which I used twice a day for 3 months but it did nothing. I would prefer a solution that doesn't involve applying a cream every day anyways. Are there other treatments I could try?
Answer: Defusing the redness caused by Rosacea with Vbeam Vbeam laser is an excellent modality for patients who have rosacea, blushing of the skin, facial and body telangiectasia, spider veins, redness, post surgical redness, and skin flushing. It is a safe procedure that can be used at varying depths to help treat micro blood vessels in the skin. We also use it in our office for facial skin inflammation, keloids, and hypertrophic scarring. It is an important part of scar therapy. Vbeam can be combined with chemical peels and other lasers, but experience with the treatment is essential. The Vbeam laser does not affect deeper tissue. Schedule a consultation with an expert in Vbeam and you will find it to be an excellent modality for many skin types. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Pulsed Dye Lasers for Redness Hello FB. The advice you got does not make sense. Most Rosacea patients have blood vessels that are too small to see and pulsed dye lasers are designed to treat this type of diffuse redness. We would suggest finding a practice that uses the Candela Vbeam or similar pulsed dye laser to treat Rosacea. It's possible the facility you went to was not using pulsed dye lasers or if they were, they are not experienced.

Answer: Rosacea Finding the right rosacea treatments and medical therapy can help control and manage this condition. Without treatment, rosacea can often worsen. Since the signs and symptoms of rosacea can vary from one patient to another, we customize treatments based on each individual patient. These rosacea treatments can include a mix of topical treatments including antibiotics and anti-inflammatory gels, oral medications, and in-office procedures including chemical peels, LED therapy & laser treatment for rosacea. We use the VBeam laser treatment to reduce overall redness and rejuvenate the skin. Because rosacea is different for everyone, we develop tailored treatment plans to help you see the best results. Acne rosacea treatment is different than ocular rosacea treatment, for example. For some patients, rosacea natural treatment options may work best. Our patients have achieved remarkable results, often by combining multiple different therapies in order to resolve their individual condition. Our team of experts can prescribe your best course of action to not only heal any current rosacea you may be suffering from, but to also prevent any flare-ups in the future.

Answer: Rosacea responds to lasers very well There are many types of rosacea. Some people have vessels, some people have acne with it, and some have just plain old redness. Regardless, lasers work very well to reduce the redness. In my practice, I have had great success using the Cutera excel v and laser genesis. Patients typically have a series of three to five treatments and then may need a treatment once a year for maintenance. Many patients stop using topicals or use only one. It just depends on their response. Also identifying what is causing the redness helps (diary of what makes it worse, better) in case those can be modified. Good luck but I would not counter out lasers for rosacea no matter what type.
