I had Vaser Liposuction of the upper abs, lower abs, flanks and back rolls 3 months ago. I had 3 pound removed. I am very fit, workout 6 days a week cardiovascular and weight training. What are my options for smoother abs. Would smart lipo help by removing the additional fat?

Answer: Horizontal creases after VASER lipo on abdomen? It appears these are postural creases from sitting. The skin has creased in the natural folds. Were these present before or not? Important is to wear the compression vest and also some form of padding or 4D vest to keep your posture upright. Try not to sit with a hunched back. MLD would most likely help too.

Answer: Liposuction Results & After care includes RF treatments (Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra) Cellutone/zwave, hyperbaric oxygen It is too soon to tell what your final results will be. You have swelling, which can last 3-6 months after your procedure. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGES TO ELIMINATE SWELLING AND DISCOMFORT. Hello bettabody, I’m sorry you are experiencing contour irregularities. Three months is too short of a time to assess your final VASER Liposuction outcome. Maximum results will take up to 6 months to show. Your skin will continue retracting for at least 3 more months, and the swelling will recede with time. In my experience, manual lymphatic massages by their own have proven successful, in the majority of cases, in achieving uniform removal of swelling and ensuring smooth contours. Therefore, I typically recommend lymphatic massages therapy (a minimum of 10 sessions) to completely alleviate the swelling and discomfort, also prevent contour irregularities (indentations, and/or fibrosis). Furthermore, patients should wear specialized compression garments around the clock for approximately 6 months to reduce swelling and help their skin contract smoothly to their new body’s contours. Since ill-fitting garments can lead to contour irregularities, I advise my patients about the correct method of using them, to limit folds and creases in the garments, and regularly check if they are worn properly). Since every case is different, consult with your plastic surgeon about your specific needs and concerns. Best regards! Dr. De La Cruz.
