Does vaser lipo tighten skin a lot ? I’ve had regular liposuction done 3 years ago and my skin is a bit loose. Going for a revision, not sure if vaser lipo helps with sag? Or what is the right method for that. Thanks

I have regularly used Vaser for the last 10 years- it is far superior to traditional liposuction. It works well for repeat liposuction also. The ultrasound softens stubborn, residual fat and tightens skin.An exam and consultation with a plastic surgeon who performs these procedures is recommended to confirm you are a candidate as well as discuss your options and expectations.

Liposuction does not tighten skin.   VASER Lipo (which employs ultrasonic energy to fragment fat), has been clinically shown to be associated with better skin retraction.  The device however does not tighten skin and should not be employed in an attempt to contour individuals with very loose sagging skin.  In patients with some moderate skin laxity VASER may allow for better contouring and removal of more fat without making the skin any  looser but it certainly will not tighten it beyond its original condition before surgery.  This has been my experience in over 1000 VASER Lipo procedures over the past 16 years.
