I've always felt self conscious about my nose to point where makes me feel ugly. I have terrible profile and looks like button from front. I've wanted surgery since I was 11 but had save up $ and was also afraid since my nose is so different it would be hard to reshape. It be so nice to find a Doctor who could reshape my ugly nose. Currently, where I live in WV their hasn't been anyone that could reshape it to look normal just make it smaller.

The bulbous tip is created by wide and divergent cartilages that patients are born with. Suture techniques applied to the lower lateral cartilages of the nasal tip and a conservative cartilage removal can be performed to narrow and refine the tip. It's also important that the new tip balances with the entire nasal components, and the new nose balances with the patient's facial features.

It would be impossible to predict what could be done with your nose based on a description alone. You would need to send pictures of your nose from different angles to see what could be done. Having computer imaging done would also give you a visual assessment of what type of nose changes you can expect from a rhinoplasty.

While, yes, a tipplasty can reduce and refine the tip of your nose, it is hard to give you advice without seeing you or seeing photos of you.  If you do not want to post public photos, you can send photos to any of the surgeons on this site using their websites address.

Difficult to give advice with out a photo.  But most noses are amenable to shaping by a rhinoplasty.  Each case is unique and the surgery is customized for that patient problem and needs.
