Can you perform IPL with a Candela Gentlemax pro laser? (Photo)

Technically the gentle max pro from candela is a laser vs. IPL which is considered a light device. Although both technologies can be used to reduce the appearance of hyper-pigmentation. The Gentle Max has both an Alexandrite & a Yag which have classically been used to treat discoloration successfully just like the IPL. The Gentle Max Pro is a laser, not an intense pulsed light (IPL) device. It is most commonly used as a hair removal device but can be used to treat benign pigmented lesions (755 nm) and vascularity (1064 nm). 

Candela GentleMax Pro is a laser not a light. So it is different than IPL. However, it can absolutely be used to treat brown lesions, veins, and marks and is very effective at doing just this. I'm sorry you were burned at your treatment.
