My question is- can a person with supposedly “normal” healthy hair use Minoxidil to help thicken fine hairs? My temples are naturally thinner hairs. I have been using “Hers” minoxidil treatment twice a day over entire scalp for 2 months and have only experienced extreme shedding. It’s awful. And now you can see through my hair. Should I just stop? Should I only concentrate around my temples? I never can cover the entire scalp I just try to spread it as best I can.
Answer: Minoxidil to thicken hair In my experience the Minoxidil will not help to thicken your hairs. Especially in the temporal areas. You may want to consider Low Level Laser Theray or hair transplants.

Answer: Hair Loss -- PRP, Progesterone, Stem Cells, Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUE), Spironolactone or Finesteride, Rogaine healthy hair needs nutrients! you can use minoxidil, you can use tropical growth factors, oral vitamins, and restorsea spray (see link to emeragecosmetics.com hair growth package). you can also do prp/acell too keep the hair healthy! I suggest a formal consultation as there are a combination of treatments that can be done to improve har loss. Oral finesteride has very little to no side effects in the majority of people; PRP/platelet-rich plasma + stem cells like A Cell help regrow hair and slow down the thinning process; rogaine and restorsea spray should be used daily; oral viviscal helps keep nutrients high in the follices as well. Transplantation is a last resort but works early in the aging process as well. A formal consultation and combination treatment is needed. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: The use of Minoxidil for improving the thickness of healthy hair Excellent and very frequent question. If you have "normal and healthy hair with normal genetic hair thickness" then Minoxidil won't help you and you will waste your money. But, if you have a thinning hair issue then is another story and there are many causes for women thinning and hair loss. If this is the case, you should be evaluated and I will recommend you to see an experienced hair loss specialist in your area. Meanwhile just apply Minoxidil in the temple areas. Good luck.

Answer: BETTER than Minoxodil Minoxidil affects everyone differently. While minoxidil works fine for the select few, the problem with the medicine is that it does not actually stop hair loss. Instead, DHT will continue is binding to the hair shaft which will eventually overtake any additional growth caused by the Minoxidil and die, perhaps just slightly later than it would have without the medicine. As for the side effects, the alcohol base required to support the active ingredients also cause irritation of the scalp and severe reactions for many people. The fact is that it does not work for everyone, and even if it does, not for long and not without side effects. You're right to have concern about how it can affect your body and lifestyle! The number one first step I recommend is a comprehensive consultation with a hair regrowth specialist who will perform lab tests to determine the underlying cause of your thinning. Without labs, no-one can really know what your true cause is and any treatment will be temporary at best. From here, you can receive the best treatment for your hair loss with minimal side effects. Hair loss is genetic. 50% of men and 25% of women inherit a biochemical imbalance within their bodies that leads to hair loss. Hair loss is also affected by lifestyle. The environment and our lifestyle also impact hair health and hair growth. You can save most, if not all your hair if you take your hair loss seriously and start out with the right product. Something personalized and with a prescription is the only REAL solution, and you deserve to know what it is. 1. Once again, I would recommend seeing a Hair Regrowth Specialist who can perform labs for DNA and biochemistry review to provide you with a definitive diagnosis of what is causing your hair loss/thinning. From there, you can find a proper way to treat it. 2. Any medicine that actually can make changes inside your body, are required under the FDA to be available by prescription only. This therefore means that it is not possible for anything that does not require a prescription to cure or prevent hair loss or regrow thinning hair. Thus, a personalized regrowth regimen will be the best choice because instead of a "one size fits all" approach, you will be taking something which is truly catered to your body. TODAY, with SCIENCE we can SEE and MEASURE those imbalances and our nutrition- certified medical doctors can diagnose the Cause in your blood and provide you a supplement that will reverse the condition for your entire life. You deserve better, and the right treatment is out there. Good luck on your search.

Answer: Fine hair If your hair is uniformly fine in character, the use of minoxidil will not add any benefit to the hair thickness
