Hi, I'm 31 and I feel I'm going bald soon, my scalp is losing hair from the front, should I start using Minoxidil and Finasteride 1mg? Thank you.

you likely neeed transplant but should start everything now! including prp/acell in the office, at home vitamins and growth factors (see my daily protocol at emeragecosmetics.com link), and at home light cap.

I suggest a formal consultation as there are a combination of treatments that can be done to improve har loss.  Oral finesteride has very little to no side effects in the majority of people; PRP/platelet-rich plasma + stem cells like A Cell help regrow hair and slow down the thinning process; rogaine and restorsea spray should be used daily; oral viviscal helps keep nutrients high in the follices as well.  Transplantation is a last resort but works early in the aging process as well.  A formal consultation and combination treatment is needed.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Finasteride, is an FDA-approved medicine for hair loss prevention in men. But don’t confuse this as a treatment to cure baldness. There’s no such medicine as such which can grow back new hair 
However, finasteride can be an effective way to prevent your hair from thinning because it prohibits DHT which is responsible for miniaturization and eventually stop growing hair. Similarly Minoxidil Is also an effective way to make your existing hair better and denser. 
It is important to know that these medical treatment have temporary effect and the time to stop it the result will reverse so you need to be consistent with it to avail the benefits . You will appreciate the results in few months after taking it. 
It is advisable to first consult with your dermatologist to know all the pros and cons like side effect which will help you to take the right decision for yourself.If you are willing to grow back new hair then hair transplant is the right option still medication needs to be continued for existing hair.
