What can I do about the indentation under my eyes and the bumps on the sides of my nose bridge? (Photo)

Question

I want a smoother, more youthful look because I’m only 24 years old but I always look tired or sad. I think that my under eye area makes me look older plus the skin is kind of thin looking. I’m afraid of surgery but I am open to all suggestions.

Hello and thank you for your question! I think that some well placed filler can fill in the small hollows under your eyes and create a natural, full, and beautiful appearance! I recommend someone who performs a lot of filler, is aware of the intricate anatomy around the tear troughs and uses a canula to place the medication. A canula is a blunt tip device similar to a needle but isn't sharp. This creates less tissue trauma and decrease the risk during and after treatment. Hope this helps and God Bless!Dr. Robb

Under eye bags and hallows can be permanently corrected with surgery or temporarily camouflaged with fillers.There are great non-surgical options to fill in under eye depressions and hollowness. Using dermal fillers, a liquid eye-lift can be performed. A dermal filler such as Restylane would be placed in the cheek and tear trough to hide the depression or bag underneath your eye.
Surgery would require a fat-repositioning lower lid blepharoplasty. In this surgical procedure, fat from the eye area is moved into the tear trough depression filling the actual depression. Cost will vary and can be discussed at your consultation.
