What can I do about the gap between my breasts? (photos)

It does  vary patient to patient the degree to which one is able to achieve nice cleavage. Implants tend to center themselves under the nipple which they have in your case. I feel you have a nice result and would not recommend any surgery.

Good morning!You have some lateral displacement, meaning the pockets are overdissected laterally, allowing your implants to rest there. I correct this with the Original Internal Bra, my strong permanent internal suturing technique, which corrects the lateral displacement and prevents the implants from sliding into your armpits and off your chest wall. This technique is the most common procedure I perform, 5-6 times a week- it works and it lasts!

Your pictures do not show an unusually wide gap between your breasts, but they do show a few things that you should keep in mind before considering implants: Your breasts are already on the large side; your rib cage slants to the side, which is normal but in that situation implants will tend to slide apart; and your nipple position is a bit low. Putting all those things together suggest you would do better with a breast lift. this could include some low volume fat grafting on the inner part of the breasts for better definition of cleavage.

Dear Jenna,   Thanks for posting your pictures. From observing your pictures you appear to have capsule contracture, wide cleavage and level 1-2 ptosis (droopiness). To obtain beautiful, youthful, perky and feminine breasts you will need 2 procedures:1. Inferior, medial and superior capsulotomy (scar release). I get this problem all of the time.  Typically, its from women who went with high profile implants.  This is a problem because while they project more, they are narrow at the base and can have widening effect on cleavage.  The second most common problem is incomplete release of the pectoralis muscle medially. Many surgeons don't take the time to make this right.  If you're not happy with your results I would suggest you to discuss it with your plastic surgeon.

Hi and thank you for your question.  The angle at which your photos were taken makes it slightly difficult to effectively evaluate your results.  It would also be important to see what your pre-op photos were to see what your original starting point was.  For many patients interested in a breast augmentation, one of their main goals other than fuller breasts is to achieve greater cleavage.  While implants often achieve both, it is important for patients to understand that breast implants are placed with a patient's nipple as the center point and, therefore, do not change the position of a patient's breasts on their chest wall. If a patient starts out with wider-set nipples (or wider-set breasts), their breasts post-augmentation might still have more distance between them post-operatively than their friends.  That said, this might not be the case for you.  For any patients unhappy with their results, I always encourage them to bring their concerns to the attention of their board certified plastic surgeon.  You surgeon is most familiar with the specifics of your case and would be best able to advise you and recommend a revision procedure, or monitor your progress depending on how far out you are from surgery.  You did not mention how long ago you had your breast augmentation.  You could also consider scheduling a consultation with a different plastic surgeon to get a second opinion if you'd like.  I wish you all the best and would strongly recommend meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon in person for the best advice.

The reason your breasts are too far apart is that your breasts are actually not on you chest and leaning on your belly. In order to achieve more medial cleavage, you will require a breast lit to bring up your nipples onto your chest. This can only be done with a breast lift which will not only optimize your nipple position, but also provide you medial cleavage and upper pole breast fullness.
