What does my doctor mean by "remodeling" after the initial fat establishment stage post fat grafting to breasts?

My doctor says that the remodeling phase of fat transfer takes place for up to 18 months post fat grafting. I have a lot of scar tissue from prior implants, cc and then explantation. I am still experiencing some animation deformity. He says could improve during this remodeling phase as scar tissue might be reduced. Is this true? 10 weeks PO. 300cc fat transfered to each breast. Good retention. Muscle was replaced to anatomical position via strattice during a previous surgery.

Remodeling is a stage of wound healing where the tissues soften up as a part of healing. This occurs in both surgical and non-surgical trauma. During this time scar tissue softens and fat will start growing. It's best to give it more time but if you're still concerned please consult with your board certified plastic surgeon.

Some fat is being used to help decrease and soften the scar tissue. this does take several months to settle down. Also, each ft cells must find blood supply and survive, and swelling must subside which takes time.
