Hello! I would like to know the cost of CUSTOM jaw implants. I am interested in JAW ANGLE IMPLANTS that can add lateral width to the BACK of the jaw. Also how successful are off the shelf jaw implants ?

Answer: Jaw implants The implants are very successful in general. The angle of the jaw has to blend into the mid portion and chin properly however, in order to achieve a natural balanced look. Implants can be contoured at surgery and literally hand carved rather than relying upon standard sizes. As well, one does not really benefit from fancy xray determinations of size since xrays do not show the soft tissue contour but only the bone. You need an experienced surgeon. The cost varies dependent upon the extent of the augmentation.
