Coolsculpting after lipo. 6 months p.o. Advice?

I am 6 months post-op from having smartlipo to my upper and lower abs. I am not happy with my results and feel like there is still fat that I wish could have been taken out. Would Coolsculpting help with giving me the flat tummy that I am wanting? Can I do Coolsculpting after lipo?

Sometimes, only a portion of the fat is taken out to avoid leaving you with too much loose skin, or it could be that your surgeon did not do a great job. It is difficult to say without an examination, but I would suspect that if you are not happy with the Smartlipo results, you will probably not be too happy with coolsculpting. The first thing I would suggest is going back to your surgeon to see if a revision is possible. Most surgeons will give you a nice break on the price for a revision. If you really want more significant result, you may need to find someone who does the new J-plasma liposuction or even a tummy tuck.

yes, you definitely can get coolsculpting six months after liposuction. And yes it very well may help some asymmetries that you may have.  I recommend seeing a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in body contouring for a full eval

You may still be experiencing swelling after your Smart Lipo procedure. Follow up with your surgeon to discuss what's your next treatment options. CoolSculpting is a great non-surgical treatment option but if it's an area that is small Smart Lipo is a better contour smaller areas.

Thank you for your question. The short answer is, probably! Coolsculpting can be done after other fat removal procedures. However, if you still have a lot of fat in those areas, you may want to consider traditional liposuction (power or laser-assisted). While these methods are more invasive than smart lipo, they tend to be more effective. However, if you only have a small amount of fat, you may be a good candidate for CoolSculpting. CoolSculpting has literally no downtime and can remove up to 20% of the fat cells per treatment. Your best bet is an in-person consultation with a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon to hear more.
