Is Asian FFS different than Caucasian?

Question

I am a cisgender asian woman wanting to feminize my brow bone and wide square jaw. Are the ideal aesthetic ratios for asian faces typically different from Caucasian ratios? I am looking into surgeons who specialize in FFS but most of their before and afters are only white people, so I have no way of knowing if they could perform great results on my face as well. Also any recommendations for surgeons would be great!

It is true that you do not see as many Asian FFS patients/photos. However, FFS surgery is different for everyone and specialized for their face and features.  We plan procedures based on aesthetic goals and your natural facial structure. At our facility, we like to take photos of a patient, then simulate on an computer what their outcome could look like. This is a great way for both the patient and provider to be on the same page about end results. Once photos are discussed and adjusted to the patient's liking, we create a care plan to best get you those results. We offer virtual appointments for those who live out of state as well!

There are always considerations of ethnicity when doing good surgery.  We do a lot of FFS (several each week) and also see many Asian women who are looking for jaw, cheek, and forehead changes.  In fact, we have an entire area dedicated to this on our website.

FFS for the Asian Cisgender woman. Not all Asian females have the same skull size etc. and therefore proportions have to be balanced as described by  DaVinci. Make sure you see a very experienced FFS surgeon who can show you dozens of natural results.

While there are numerous anthropometric measurements and ratios for the face amongst different ethnicities, the more important question is what type of change does the patient see as best. This is the role of computer imaging in which the brow bone and jaw reductions are visualized with differing degrees of change to see what looks best to the patient. This does not always mean that is the exact result that will occur but it serves as an aesthetic target for which the procedures can be adjusted to try and achieve.
