What procedure would be right for me?

Question

l am a slightly overweight 19 year old female with severe eyebags and prominent smile lines. I also have a large nose and small lips, which leads to me believe I have an ugly side profile. As I result, I would like to get work done to fix these. I have considered getting lip filler, a micro facelift, and some sort of chin augmentation to fix what I believe is making me so unfortunate looking from the side. Can any doctor weigh in on this? Are there better options?

I would recommend a rhinoplasty and a chin implant to balance out the side profile. Another option would be rhinoplasty with facial fat grafting.

Thank you for your query. Based on your photographs, you have relatively minor issues which can easily be addressed.. A rhinoplasty with some fillers may help you with most of your concerns. First, you covered up your eyes and did not show your whole profile. Second, a lift, even a "micro" lift will not be of much value to you nor do anything. I would suggest meeting with a board-certified plastic surgeon, being examined, and discussing your concerns and options.

I recommend avoiding a surgical facelift while you are still young. The lips and chin are frequently treated with dermal fillers to create a more balanced side profile. After enhancing your lips and chin you may find that your nasal appearance feels more proportionate as well.

Facial aesthetics are primarily determined by facial bone structure. At your age, I suggest not starting the process of intervening with temporary or permanent solutions. Stay active, watch your weight and use sunscreen daily.
