Thank you for your query. It is certainly possible to have some tissue grow on one side and not the other, over the years . Nipples too can undergo age related changes. Please have your surgeon examine you and help you with all your concerns. All the best!

It’s hard to tell you exactly what’s going on based on the information provided.
Position has a really big impact on what the Male chest looks like.
Usually the contour is going to be related to potential skin laxity, which worsens with age, the amount of subcutaneous, fat and potential excess breast tissue from true gynecomastia. Indentation after surgery may represent an overzealous excision of tissue.
During an assessment, I typically have patience, reposition their arms from over their head down along their side to see how much each of the three tissues is contributing to shape and contour.
If your previous surgeon is still in practice, then follow up with him or her if possible.

If not, I suggest you consider consulting with other plastic surgeons in your community.
If it all possible when we make an assessment for the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure, it’s helpful to have access to before and after pictures and a copy of your previous operative report.
These may not still be available if it’s been 15 years, but it’s worth trying to track them down if they are still available from your previous provider.
