Is it safe to have Restylane injections if I have a small pimple?

I would like to try Restylane to improve acne scarring. I do not have active acne flare ups but every now and then will get one pimple that will remain for weeks. I presently have one (very small) and am wondering if I need to postpone the Restylane until it's completely gone.

Thank you for your question. I would certainlyl try Restylane before having surgery, knowing that it may not be all you need. See a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, and a ear, nose, throat facial plastic surgeon before any surgery decisions. I hope this helps!

I suggest getting more filler placed appropriately.  Cannula injections prevent bruising swelling and pain.  Best, Dr. Emer.

I suggest reversing the restylane and then reinjecting with Radiesse or Bellafill to get a more permanent long term result with less swelling. Cannula injections help give a more meticulous result. Best, Dr. Emer.

You need to wait to get the complete treatment of Sculptra prior to decide if you need to have your tear trough treated with Restylane.  Sculptra can change the need for tear trough treatment. I would wait at lease 6 to 8 weeks after the last treatment with Sculptra to begin treating you...
