No, this is unlikely. Allergies to Juvederm are extremely rare. Lip augmentations with fillers would be a great option to improve the fullness, suppleness and symmetry of the lips. I prefer to use a micro cannula to inject the lips to prevent bruising. I hope this helps.
Thank you for your question. The incidence of allergic reactions related to treatment with hyaluronic acid based dermal fillers such as Juvederm is extremely low. You should be just fine to proceed with Juvederm treatment. Please be sure to see an expert injector for an in-person consultation to fully discuss your concerns and your goals and expectations in order to determine the best treatment plan. Hope this helps and best wishes!
It is highly unlikely that the allergies you currently have will have any effect on Juvederm. I would go ahead and have your lips treated with Juvederm and enjoy the results of the treatment. Good luck from New York City
It is impossible to predict whether you will have allergic reaction to Juvederm or not. What is known is that those with multiple allergies have a higher risk of habit this reaction. In general, the incidence of true allergic reaction to fillers is very low and is caused by hyaluronin associated protein components and some remnants from the manufacturing process. However, the majority of fillers are also pre-mixed with Lidocaine that may, very rarely, cause an allergic reaction. One of the contraindications to filler injections is in patients with multiple unrelated allergies. Your options: although you could have a "test" dose injected, it is still not 100% guarantee. You could take oral medication to minimize the risk. Minimize, but not eliminate. You may consider fat transfer, Allofill (fat-derived filler) or if absolutely needed, the implants. Good luck!
Thank you for your question. Having 1.8ml is a large amount of filler for lip augmentation which is contributing to your excessive swelling. Typically it is not advisable to inject more than 1ml at a time to prevent overcorrecting. However, it is common to have some swelling after lip...
I usually tell patients to take the day off and they can go back the next day, but you should ask your doctor.
The lips have a huge number of blood vessels in it, so it is not completely unusual to get a bruise in the lip during the treatment. You can help the bruise resolve by applying moist, warm compresses to the lip four to six times daily and the Bruise should disappear within a matter of days. ...
