Hello I had veneers month ago, my teeth was too long and big so i got teeth reduction. My dentist told me your veneers will last forever and he will fix any problem in the future (as lifetime warranty). But i have read veneers stay for 10/15 years, I start to worry about my teeth. Did the dentist decieve me ? Or is it really posdible for veneers to saty forever? Thank you

Answer: Will veneers stay forever? Porcelain veneers can last a very long time if they were placed and bonded properly, if your occlusion(bite) is correct and does not compromise them when you slide your teeth forward and side to side, if you do not clench or grind your teeth in your sleep, and if you brush and floss properly and see your dentist for recommended dental cleaning and check of your veneers on a regularly scheduled basis. A custom fitted nightguard is strongly recommended to protect them during your sleeping hours. All that being said, the lifetime guarantee your dentist gave you is only as good as for how long he continues to practice in the location where he provided the service. If he relocates or retires, the guarantee probably ends unless he has made some arrangements with the next owner of the practice. I am not aware of any dentists giving "lifetime" guarantees on porcelain veneers or any other dental services. There are just too many variables that are not under the control of the dentist. What other products or services are guaranteed for your lifetime? I would ask. your dentist for a written guarantee so that if something should happen to your veneers while he Is still practicing, you are not surprised by some unexpected additional expenses.
