I had 10 veneers placed about 8 months ago, and Ive recently noticed that my bite feels off, with my upper teeth positioned too far forward compared to my lower ones, similar to what I've read about overbites. Since then, Ive been experiencing jaw pain, and Im starting to feel unhappy with my smile all over again. I have an appointment scheduled, but Id really appreciate any insights or suggestions for possible solutions.
Hi I have recently had a veneer placed on my front tooth. The tooth now feels almost as if there is a build up of pressure within it, it is not painful but just very uncomfortable. Also when I press down on the gum above the tooth it is quite sore. I have seen my dentist twice since and he has checked the vitality of the tooth and it is still alive. He has also checked my bite and it is also fine. He believes the tooth is just trying to settle. I just wanted to get a second opinion.
I have two temporary veneers and am waiting for permanent ones. One temporary has already popped off twice. I have read that I will never be able to eat corn on the cobb, bite into an apple, bite into a sandwich or basically bite into anything that isnt super soft....like a soggy French fry once I have my veneers. Is this true? I think I have made the worst decision of my life. My dentist said NOTHING about the eating restrictions before starting the process. I am sooooo depressed.
Had a bite adjustment to the left lateral incisor. Pain had been excruciating/throbbing. Before bite reviewed and adjusted, X-ray was carried out - there was a vv small grey area that he couldnt distinguish if it was nerve damage. I was told that if the bite doesnt work then its root canal. How long after a bite adjustment should I give pain to subside? It still feels as bad as before, hours later, that I am contemplating an emergency treatment.
I have been an on-and-off nailbiter my whole life. I'm considering veneers and am trying to convince myself of other positives apart from plain-old vanity, since my natural teeth are absolutely fine and on the whiter side and I basically just want that Hollywood Smile that can only be achieved artificially. So I'm wondering... Will veneers prevent me from being able to bite my nails? 'Cause that would be awesome...
I have RA, SJOGRENS AND TOOTH DECAY. 3 molars broke in 6 months. Its all getting expensive and I really need. LONG TERM PLAN FOR MY TEETH. My teeth are breaking, need work on eyelids and nose as well but would be recommended for my teeth. Implants, veneers? Will veneers break down as well? Can they help make my bite look straighter? Same questions for implants. Projected costs.
Hi , I was advised by my dentist to have 20 veneers to fix my bite and color, I m 46 .I need our opinion of the design and color as I was going to bleach shade but my doctor and the lab advised with the B1 natural color for my design and teeth I enjoyed as I have a big smile .I had a smooth process a month ago, but still have some sensitivity specially in front teeth with cold and hot food, please advise is it normal? I got my night guard and using proper toothpaste and wash .Thank you
I've been doing so much research and I am ready to start saving for veneers, but I have a few questions. I don't want to get them if they'll affect my bite or speech or if it'll hurt to eat and drink cold/hot things. I also want them to look natural and not bulky/square, and I don't want them blindingly white. I only want 2 on my front teeth but I have a feeling 4 teeth will be pushed on me so it looks more natural. Would 2 be a weird amount?
Two days ago, I had 8 porcelain veneers and 2 crowns placed on my upper teeth. Since then, I have had jaw pain and headaches. I find myself clenching my teeth in my sleep, as well as discomfort when chewing food. I had an overbite before veneers but it has never caused the symptoms mentioned. I went back to the dentist and he made some adjustments but the symptoms persist. He seems to think my bite is fine. Do I just need time to adjust to my veneers or is there a serious issue with my bite?
