Hello, thank you for your question. Depending on how much chin augmentation you would like to receive, non-surgical chin augmentation with fillers may be a good option for you. Because the filler may be place close to the bone and far from the chin, almost any filler can be used for chin augmentation.

Many of my patients try to avoid surgery, so we perform a non-surgical chin augmentation treatment with injectable fillers. Fillers like Radiesse as well as Sculptra are injected into the area, improving the overall appearance of the lower face and balancing the jaw and lip harmony. We use cannula injections to meticulously contour and project the chin, soften the chin along the jawline and improve the chin crease.

It is possible to utilize Botox to relax the mentalis muscle to improve the appearance of a person’s profile in the lower face. In certain individuals, if it is excessively contracted, it will produce an underprojected body chin. For these cases, filler may not help. In cases where bone projection is not an issue, it is possible to use a calcium-based filler called Radiesse to augment the chin, an approach that we often use at my practice, the Dr.U Hair and Skin Clinics in Los Angeles. Once injected below the skin, Radiesse functions much like a chin implant. Unlike a surgical implant, however, it can be shaped while the patient is awake. Under local anesthesia, they are able to provide feedback on how they want their chin to look. Because Radiesse consists of tiny calcium-based microparticles, it offers a versatile form of support and the level of firmness that is most appropriate for specific treatment areas.

Botox is a neuromodulator that works by relaxing muscles that lead to facial wrinkles. The medication can also be inserted into the masseter (jaw) muscle, which causes it to relax and decrease in size. This treatment is recommended for patients who have a square jawline or those that suffer from pain or tension due to teeth clenching or grinding. Botox will not help to bring out a recessed chin, however. 
Dermal fillers work to create fullness in the chin for a more proportionate facial profile. Fillers like Voluma are specifically designed for larger areas like the chin and offer results that can last up to two years. These fillers are placed by an injection, with no anesthesia or downtime needed. You will need to repeat the treatment every one or two years to maintain your positive results. Always work with a board-certified dermatologist and expert injector for both these treatments to ensure an optimal outcome.

Botox is used to soften lines by minimizing the corresponding muscle movement. Botox treatments last about three to four months. Dermal Filler is used to restore volume loss and can sometimes be used to enhance facial features, such as the chin, this is call a non-surgical augmentation of the chin/jawline. Dermal filler treatments can last six months to twelve months depending on the type of filler used and how quickly a patient metabolizes the product. Surgery (chin implant) is an option for those patients looking for a permanent solution.

It's difficult to see your chin with your beard (which makes your chin look bigger), but filler certainly can work well for some chin augmentation, but is temporary. Botox will not make your chin bigger, but can prevent you from using the mentalis muscle that pulls on the chin which can make it look smaller. Fillers are a great way to augment the chin and contour the projection to your liking (Botox is a toxin that relaxes muscles, and while it can be used for an "orange-peel" chin, it sounds like you are asking more about making the chin bigger with fillers vs. an implant). Alternatively, chin implants come in various fixed sizes but can be customized to the shape of your face
If you want to go for something temporary, Radiesse (calcium hydroxyapatite) or hyaluronic acid fillers like Voluma can be safely injected by an experienced injector. Both of these tend to last a year or longer and can be touched up periodically without surgery. While this is cheaper in the short term, over time, this can be more costly than a 1 time implant. 
Whatever you decide, choose someone that injects frequently and knows the anatomy, preferably a facial plastic surgeon, plastic surgeon or dermatologist with experience. For surgery, only a facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon should be performing chin implantation.

Botox is used to relax targeted muscles that cause wrinkles, and while it can help to slim certain areas around the jaw it does not improve volume.  On the other hand, fillers are specifically designed to increase volume. That being said, if you are looking for a significant increase in the volume of your chin, fillers can only do so much while retaining a natural feel.  I would recommend scheduling an in-person visit with an experienced board-certified provider to discuss the best manner in which to proceed.
