Lipo surgery having had 3 hernia surgeries?

Question

I have had 3 hernia surgeries 2 performed using the mesh and 1 without the mesh. I want to know if Lipo can be done having had these prior surgeries and if not what could be done?

You may still be a good candidate for liposuction after having hernia repair surgeries.  I would suggest scheduling a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss options.  A full history a physical is necessary to fully answer this question.  Your surgeon may require a CT scan of your abdomen prior to surgery to determine if you are a good candidate. I appreciate your concerns, however previous hernia surgery is not a contraindication for liposuction, as long as the hernias have been repaired and are not still present. It is important to notify your plastic surgeon about this previous surgery and specific locations of the mesh. There are a lot of variables here.  What type of hernias?  Where do you want liposuction. Posting pictures would help.
