Can topical sodium hyaluronate cause water retention and eye puffiness/problems?

I was born with tired looking eyes. I've gotten filler (tried Restylane, belotero) and it seems they worsen the appearance of my tired eyes because I retain water and am constantly puffy. So since hyaluronic acid dermal fillers cause a lot of water retention, Can using topical creams that have sodium hyaluronate also add to this problem? I'm letting my filler ride out (don't want Vitrase) but I'm wondering if I should stop my moisturizers that have sodium hyaluronate

No, this is unlikely to give significant improvement. A combination approach will give the most improvement. Fillers, lasers, and microneedling/PRP can improve under the eyes. My patients try to get non surgical treatments to avoid surgery. We use PRP and stem cells there often.
