I'm sorry this happened to you. Fortunately there are options other than surgery. Fillers could be a great place to start because there is very little risk. The downside is that the result wouldn't be permanent. Other modalities to consider would be dermabrasion, microneedling, and laser resurfacing. Hope that helps and best of luck!

There are many potential treatment options here with a wide range in cost. A very cost effective option would be saline injections. Other options sort of moving from lower to higher price that I would think of would be long term topical prescription retinoid, tca treatment, microneedling and filler. A PRX series would also be interesting to try here. Of course Co2 laser could be a choice too. I think you may have more choices than you realize!

Sounds scary, but in your case this looks straight forward and could even be done in the office with just local numbing medicine. Another cool way to address scars, especially depressed scars is to perform subcision, where we break up the deep dermal attachments with a needle and the fill that space with filler. This is a non surgical way to address the issue. Micro needling and laser skin resurfacing work too. All my best!
