Upneeq does not effect the lower lid area. If these are truely bags they are likely due to fat herniation and lower blepharoplasty is likely the ideal choice.

My upper eyelid hooding is asymmetric and more pronounced when I smile. I also have very noticeable under eye bags. Does upneeq help with under eye bags too?

Whatever you did to remove this caused trauma to the skin resulting in post inflammatory hypopigmentation. Trauma to the skin, especially those with more pigmented skin types, can leave lighter or darker spots of discoloration. This generally fade and blend with time but may not fade completely. Unfortunately there is not much to do about this issue when it results in loss of pigment.

You have already gotten some good options but would also suggest the Zo skinhealth sunscreen + primer and the supergoop glow screen!

The reason i stop using sunscreen is due to its oily or shine on the skin and acne. Any sunscreen that you recommend that is a matte finish but also is noncomedogenic?

I would consider oral spironolactone, wenlevi or microtox treatments to help control oilyness. Then you could consider procedures to attempt to tighten in the skin such as microneeding and co2 laser, possibly more aggressive chemical peels.

I've had large pores for a long time. I've tried IPL, TCA peel, and a laser peel but nothing seems to help much. Is there a better treatment or topical? I also have greasy looking skin, although it tends to be quite dry. Thank you in advance for your advice!

I do not think these will go away with weight gain. I would consider an in person evaluation to see if you are a good candidate for something like botox depending on how these lines change with facial movement.

Hi! My facial skin was very good at age 26 I was overweight at that time but I looked very youthful. I kept my youthful look from early 20s, but for some reason after I lost 80 pounds and about a couple of months after I turned 27 I noticed I look more tired and I have smile lines that won't go away. Is weight loss the cause of my smile lines and tired looking? Or is this genetic? If I gain some more weight will these lines go away? I don't smoke and I am 2 years sober from alcohol. Thank you:)

If you have rosacea, your skin can be more easily irriated/sensitive to products like tretinoin, hydroquinoine and vitamin C. Some general things to keep in mind - tretinoin should only be used at night and ideally vitamin C in the morning. I would consider starting with metrogel in am followed by moisturizer and spf. Then using tretinoin only 1-2 nights per week with hydroquinone on the other nights (both followed by moisturizer) and see how you do for a few months. Then I would reevaluate things to see how working and if anthing needs to be changed/product replaced.

I replied that I am a pharmacist but I am unsure when to apply for optimal results. She responded that I can Google it. I am not aware of any studies evaluating this issue however often when treating adults, we tend to use lower doses because the visible side effects are not generally very acceptable to working adults. Meaning the dryness and peeling. And at lower doses most side effects are less likely.

Hi! I am a 49-yo female with hormonal cystic acne and other skin disruptions. I've chickened out on Accutane three times over the past 15 years or so, meaning I've registered and gone through the waiting period, then noped out. Currently, I am planning to pick up my first dose (20mg to start). I'm a little nervous reading some of the side effects. Is there any evidence that side effects such as bone dryness/pain, hair loss, etc. are more prevalent in older patients?

These appear to be boxcar scars generally seen after acne. I wonder if these are new or were not treated when you had microneeding and tca cross. Those would certainly be reasonable treatment options for these.

28, male, haven't had serious acne since early 20s. have dry oily skin and eczema. had microneedling subcision and tca cross early nov 2022. barely any results. tca left skin pigmented and red with loads of little thred veins wthat have lasted till now. tried diode twice no results. recently ive been getting these circular pigmented marks, they are horrible. they look surface level when in the mirror but horrible on camera. are they scars or? what can i do? they might be threid veins?

I do not think that you will find a doctor to do this. General anesthesia carries risks not to mention would be very expensive and for sure not going to be covered by insurance. Not to mention benign mole removal is unnecessary. It is one thing to remove a few that are bothersome cosmetically due to location or they rub on clothes but quite another to remove over 200 moles. There is also the scarring risk. 
I would certainly encourage you to embrace them. They are a part of you and your genetics. Of course watch for changes and get them checked with your dermatologist.

I want multiple moles removed off my body. I’ve had local anesthesia to remove several moles before but the process is tedious since my dermatologist will only remove two per visit. At this point I would rather just be put under anesthesia and have all the moles I want removed at one time. Is there even a doctor willing to do this? Context I am 22 and have over 200 moles on my body.

If you are not experiencing any breakouts, it is ok to skip the morning cleanse. But if you start to any milia or acne, resume the am wash.

Dear Doctors, For 8 mos, I’ve slowly increased Retin-A to 3x/week on my face and neck with great results. Mineral sunscreen is my only option because I’m allergic to chemical SPF. Mineral sunscreen takes great effort to remove at night before applying Retin-A. In the morning, is it necessary to wash the face before applying sunscreen to head out for a run? Even good tap water in NYC has endocrine disrupters, much chlorine and I’d like to skip this step in the morning. Your advice, please?
