I just got 20 units Botox for the "11" area yesterday, my first time ever. The doctor said I needed an appointment for 2 weeks later to "retouch" the area. I'm not finding this practice being mentioned anywhere else. Is this a common to have to pay for a retouch so soon?

Answer: Botox Touch Up Thank You for your question. In my experience, I personally don't schedule a "touch up" unless it's requested by the patient. Not to mention, it takes a good week to settle so as a doctor, I'm not sure if a touch up would even be needed. Furthermore, if a patient is unsatisfied that early on, I don't charge for the touch up, all tho every doctor is different.Good Luck,Dr. Elliot Heller

Answer: A touch up two weeks later? It is common practice to see a patient for an evaluation post botox treatment 7 to 14 days after treatment. It does not necessarily mean they will need a touch-up. If they do though, it is customary to pay for the touch up.
