Actually the answer is no. Only in very spesific cases such as very wide noses, it can have some minor influence.
For the most part, a rhinoplasty is not going to have any significant effect on the appearance of your nasolabial folds. If you would like to have these addressed, you may want to discuss either fillers or facelift with your surgeon. Best of luck.
Thank you for your question. The aim of rhinoplasty is to change the shape of the nose and when it’s septorhinoplasty the aim will be to correct breathing problem in what we call functional rhinoplasty.Rhinoplasty will not have any effect on nasolabila folds, and if there’s any would be minimal to the point that it wouldn’t be noticed.
Hi CometX,Mostly the central changes of nose surgery would not be expected to impact the folds, especially out away from the nose, there will be no change. There are several maneuvers that are rarely done that might impact the shape where the fold meets the nose (Alar base reduction, alar synching sutures, weir excisions), but I would not count on a rhinoplasty to substantially address the anatomy of your nasolabial folds. You should have an open discussion with a board certified plastic surgeon about how to address that area if you want to see changes there. Hope that helps!
Dear. it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. You will need to get a clearance from your doctor prior to surgery. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.Rhinoplasty surgery field is not much related to nasolabial folds.
