Sculpsure works when there are areas of fat accumulation. If the area above the knee has localized deposits of fat, this can be treated. I would see an experienced doctor before proceeding with this area.- its less common that other areas. Please be realistic that only 24% of the fat will be removed.
Hi and thank you for your question! SculpSure can be used to reduce fat in the thigh and knee areas and we have seen great results in these areas. For the knee and following fat reduction with SculpSure, you may also consider a non-surgical lift using PDO absorbable threads carefully placed by a skilled physician. I hope it helps and good luck!
Thank you for your question. I suggest that you move forward and consult with your board certified facial plastic surgeon to determine if you are a candidate.Best wishes,
Dear Elizabeth, It is really hard to get good contact for the fatty knee area. You can try but the results may not be as good as other areas.
Thanks for your question. Although it is an "off label" use for SculpSure, it can be used to treat any body part that has excessive fat. One word of caution, however, is that you most likely have some loose skin around the knees and SculpSure could possibly result in a slight worsening of that, depending upon the degree of skin tightening you get as you heal. Another option to consider is ThermiTight. ThermiTight knee treatment has been a very popular thing, as it primarily addresses skin laxity, but can also be used to get some fat reduction too. It is "minimally invasive," which means it is more surgical than SculpSure. ThermiTight involves local anesthetic to the region being treated and there may be some "downtime" for healing, which is usually quite minimal, with most patients returning to work within a day.
SculpSure could be used to treat knees but you would need to be examined to determine if the treatment might be beneficial to you.
SculpSure can treat many different areas where there is fat. A consultation would be necessary to determine if the SculpSure brackets and bricks are able to have complete contact on that area due to the contour of the knee. If it is not making the necessary contact, this may not be the best option for treatment.
Yes. I am seeing some nice results treating my patient's knees with SculpSure. However, it is considered "off label" as it is currently not FDA approved for treating any area by the stomach and flanks. Best of luck.
Hi and thanks for the question. Sculpsure treatment on the knee region is considered off-label, although we commonly perform this procedure around the knees ( among many other areas ) with great success. Best of luck,Glenn Vallecillos, MD, FACS, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Above knee region can be of great concern for many patient. Although off label, SculpSure could be a good treatment option there. Other therapies that have been used include Ultherapy and Kybella. I think the treatment choice will vary greatly from patient to patient.
The answer is best wait. The real truth is that some patients, despite optimal treatment levels and assessment do not respond to SculpSure as well as others. We always wait till the optimal time frame to assess. This usually means at week 6-8 . If SculpSure does not meet ones expectations, we...
Your experience is unusual. Like every treatment performed, something unusual can occur. It doesn't make sense that fat will recur assuming continued diet and exercise. It is possible that fat was dissolved unevenly and another treatment would be necessary. Please consult again with your doctor.
Thank you for your question. I suggest that you discuss with your board certified facial plastic surgeon because these side effects have not been associated or cited with SculpSure before. Best wishes,
