Is it safe to have Ultherapy with all of the metal in my jaw/face?

I have nine dental implants - yes, nine! I’m scheduled to have Ultherapy. Also, will it be more painful because of the implants? I’ve read enough to know that it is already quite painful. I’m wondering how the metal will interact with the laser .

In my practice if a patient has significant dental work with metal we have used a special disposable mouth guard which minimizes the pain from Ultherapy over the dental work. Ultherapy is safe to treat with implants because with the micro-focused ultrasound technology (MFU_V) you can target and visualise the tissue that is being treated, and avoid the metal.
If you are concerned about discomfort your practitioner will be able to advise on appropriate medication to help alleviate, although in my practice with have very little issue with this.

Thanks for your question.  Yes it is safe but some people might experience more pain  over dental fillings. Due to the implant absorbing more heat . Just have them place a gauze between the jawbone or maxillary bone to protect the area during Ultherapy.
