Hi, I'd like to know how common shock loss in the donor area is and if there is any case of permanent hair lost after hair transplant with FUE technique? Also if it's more likely to happen to people with fine haire (genetically fine I mean, not thin or weak) or this has nothing to do with it? Thank you!
Answer: Shock Loss Shock Loss after an FUE technique affects less than five percent of patients. However, the use of treatments such as PRP and Rogaine might prevent additional hair loss.

Answer: Shock loss is a very real possibility for large amount of FUE harvesting. Aside from shock loss, donor depletion is Shock loss is a very real possibility for large amount of FUE harvesting. Aside from shock loss, donor depletion is also a risk.

Answer: Shock loss after FUE In our experience shock loss in the donor area after FUE is uncommon. What is more likely is overharvesting or transection of grafts-which can result in permanent loss.

Answer: Shock loss can occur in the donor area of an FUE procedure, but this is uncommon with this type of surgery Shock loss can occur in the donor area of an FUE procedure, but this is uncommon with this type of surgery as there is no tension on the wound compared with the FUT procedure. The FUE doesn’t create permanent hair loss when done properly. If done poorly where over-harvesting occurs, donor hairs can subsequently be forever lost. While having genetically fine hair causes the hair to appear thinner, there is no evidence of an increased risk for hair loss. Pattern hair loss occurs in all hair types with each having different characteristics, or areas of loss.

Answer: Shock loss post FUE Shock loss is very common after an FUE...or FUT... or most any surgical procedure! It can happen in both the donor (less common) and the recipient areas and finer hair might predispose you to it, but it is not a guarantee that it will happen. Good luck!
