Could coarse hair be the result of anesthesia or damage to the hair follicle due to the surgery incision?

Question

I had a brow lift & eye lid surgery. 3 months after surgery the hair close to the incision line has become coarse. When I use a heat iron for curls this hair becomes stiff. The hair affected is only on the top of my scalp. Hair Everywhere is just the same as before the surgery. Could this be the result of anesthesia or damage to the hair follicle due to the surgery incision? My hair was soft prior to the surgery. Now it is stiff and coarse if I use the curling iron

It appears this may be a result following surgery and manipulation of the scalp. Usually this improves with time.

Sometimes the process of wound healing can affect the hair follicles causing increased growth. I would expect this to eventually return to normal, but can't say for certain. I would expect this to be a long process--months to a year or more.It isn't damage to the follicle.
