Location of dimple and age?

Natural dimples can be in different locations such as chin, high cheek and of different sizes or shapes on one side or both. Surgically created ones have to be in an area in the cheek so it does not damage any deep structures such as the parotid gland's opening inside the mouth or nerves.
They can be on one side or both.
The depth depends on the thickness of the cheeks.

Hello, hope you are well. We can control precisely where on the cheek the dimple is placed, and it is not uncommon at all to perform the procedure unilaterally. I always invite the patient to design the location of the dimple(s) if they want to. The depth of the dimple is one thing that can vary as a result of the healing process and it can be somewhat unpredictable; however, revisions can be done when necessary to restore depth if it softens too much.
