porcelain veneers are not for everyone. I do not recommend veneers for your smile at this time. It is wise to seek orthodontist consult, and periodontal consult for asymmetrical gums prior to having veneers done.An interim teeth movement, management of asymmetrical gums and then veneers can give you an awesome smile.
u have retroclined uppers, bucally placed laterals, deep bite, gummy smile. u can go only for veneers for aesthetic improvement. buy my advice and best option is veneers followed by aligner treatment / invisalign.
Thank you for your question. Generally based on where your front lateral teeth are, a veneer only solution can be possible as long as the bite is acceptable. Further pictures showing your bite are necessary, but please bear in mind, even minimal aligner treatment can prevent a significant amount of grinding of a tooth by a dentist which can help maintain the long term longevity of teeth.Good luck with whichever option you decide upon.Thomas Dey, BDS, MSc
Hi:You most likely can fix your teeth with veneers, however your bite is not very apparent in the photo you have posted. Please post more photos showing your upper and lower teeth in both front facing and profile.Best, Dr. Maddahi
Veneers will not correct your overbite. Veneers can make the outwardly appearance of your teeth more symmetrical but your teeth are out of position and your canines are crowded and not fully erupted. This causes your gums to be out of position and you will have a difficult time getting a correctly proportioned smile. Yes, veneers could improve your smile but you will not get the BEST result for your money. I would recommend orthodontics and tooth whitening first, then, ceramic veneers etc after positions are improved if needed.
You will be doing yourself a disservice if you decide to have veneers prior to orthodontics for Invisalign. Your gum height is irregular and if you do not have your teeth aligned, your teeth will not appear symmetrical. That would cause some of your teeth to appear longer than others and would not give you an appealing smile. You should have Invisalign or orthodontics first and then you can have veneers placed to give you a whiter, more perfect healthy smile. Doing veneers without orthodontics or invisalignn will be will make it harder to clean your teeth and keep your gums healthy, It would be a big mistake!
Depending on your bite, veneers can help but it is not the best solution. The correct treatment is to actually see an orthodontist. Veneers are not for everyone, and we need to evaluate the alignment, the wear on your teeth, xrays and photos before a proper consult.
There are instances as my colleague mentioned where adapting to new veneers can take a little longer. This is because of remnants of the fitting process such as cement and adhesive, or rough edges on temporary veneers. Similarly, when the veneers are fitted, some abrasion of you oral tissues is...
Let your cosmetic dentist be your guide. If you like the work that they have done, they will explain the different labs that they use. I commonly use three labs, as veneers and the aesthetic challenges can be graded. Not everyone has the same needs and demands, so although you need a...
