I have wanted to get my nose done since I was like 11 I’ve always hated my nose ,I am going to be a surrogate so I am not having this baby for myself so I will not be stressed by taking care of a newborn or having lack of sleep I will also not be breast feeding ,I wanted to get my nose done soon after I give birth

Wait at least three months after the birth...so that you don't have a problem with blood clots. During pregnancy you are in a hypercoaguable (increased tendency to clot) state. Also, keep very hydrated pre and post op. I would also use Lovenox injections subQ post-op to reduce the chance of blood clots in your legs...It shouldn't affect the rhinoplasty.

I would say once you have recovered from the delivery you can have a rhinoplasty.  That could be within a few weeks in most cases.

Is probably best to wait several months after delivery of the child in order to undergo a rhinoplasty so that all of the pregnancy edema is resolved from your face and nose, along with your hormones  resorting to back to normal as well.

Once you are cleared by your OD you will be able to have surgery. You will need a physical exam to determine if you would be a candidate. I like to find out the patients goals. Then I examine the patient and write a detailed operative plan. As a former art student from the LA County Museum of Art, I like to use advanced suturing techniques to reshape the nose. I incorporate the FINNESSE technique, which I invented. Routinely I do not pack the nose. Post operative pain, bruising and recovery are minimal when compared to traditional techniques. If you are in good health and have had no problems with the delivery you could have the procedure any time.  So go on some complimentary consultations with experts who use digital photography to show you what can be accomplished with your nose and how it might be done and look at photos of similar patients and become fully informed about the desired procedure Dr Corbin

Dear Bryanna, All surgeons will have a specific protocol that will be used to determine the best time for surgery after a pregnancy. Once your hormone levels are back to normal and any swelling or edema you have from carrying the child has subsided then you will be cleared for surgery. After the delivery you can start the process of consulting with surgeons and have imaging performed to show you the proposed results. You will be able to review the surgeons before and after photographs of noses similar to your own to ensure the surgeons expertise.
